Lianne Writer's Biography

Lianne Writer, an award winning author with a diverse medium of storytelling, wrote her first short story in 2011, "The Present". The story was later published in Currents Literary Magazine vol. 47 in 2012. Writer was welcomed on and recognized as Fiction Editor of the Year for the same publication in 2013.
Since then Writer has published several short stories for various online and printed publications including, "In the Freezer" (2016), "Keep Your Socks On" (2018), and "The Mind of an Invalid" (2019).
In 2019, Writer also went back to school at Full Sail University, graduating Valedictorian and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). Through the program, Writer published her own collection of short stories for the spooky season, "InSane" (2020) under her pen name used throughout the program. It was also here that Writer learned the intricacies of script writing for television and film and made lifelong connections and friends.
In recent years Writer has published online and has worked on several developing projects, including the Remembrance Series which won two first prize competitions. Ongoing projects include novels "TRIP", "The Mad Emperor & The Lady in White", and two projects in development to turn into novels, "Veiled Fate" (Open Novella Contest entrant 2024), "Scavengers" (Open Novella Contest entrant 2025). Writer's short stories include, "A Witch & A Fae Walk Into a Bar" (entered in the Shorty's 2025 writing contest), "Octavia the Eighth" (written for Pathfinder's Writing Collective Scribble Swap 2025), and "Pool Noodle" (written for and winner of the Prompt Contest Hall of Fame 2025). With many more on the way.
Writer hopes to expand her publications into script publications one day for film and television.

In her down time, Writer enjoys hunter/jumper horseback riding, research, singing, and cooking up new recipes. Writer lives in the states with her husband, a cup of tea, and an active pen.
